Thanks for stopping by. We thought we’d share a little bit about us and why we do this.
My name is Donna, I’m the blogger and photographer for the group. My husband Chuck is my driver and my favorite person.
Our son, Brian got us started with this crazy ride. We have ridden some sort of motorized sport vehicle for as long as I can remember. Chuck started on a motorcycle at 14, and so did I. In Colorado way back when, you could do that. That’s where we get our love of the outdoors.
When we got married, oh, around 43 years ago, we bought dirt bikes and haven’t looked back. Kids came along, quads, race bikes, Rhinos, and finally Jeeps. Windshield, radio, and AC, now we’re talking.
Brian raced motocross and desert as a kid, was really pretty good at it. He learned how to pick a line, and to never forget his bearings. He never, ever gets lost. He’s usually our leader on rides, unless we have someone along who knows the trail better.
When we got our Wranglers, we discovered that lots of people we work with shared the passion, and started putting together rides. Word got out, friends came, friends of friends, and it hasn’t been a dull moment since.
We try to capture photos and stories on our blog, and share it all on our Facebook page as well.
Safety is a priority for us, and if we don’t think we can safely navigate a rough spot, we will tell you so. If you don’t have the skill or rig to do it, same goes. We want this to be fun and remember every ride as a good time.
We use navigation, a couple different forms, and CB radios. We carry recovery gear, and survival gear, as well as some medical gear. Brian is CPR certified and his wife is an RN, if she comes along we are golden.
We are not a club, there are no meetings or dues. Just show up and have a good time and share your photos and a day with us is all we ask. These are good times, and memories for all our families. Anyone is welcome, we just call ourselves Jeeperz, but have Toyota friends, Suzuki friends, all kinds of friends. If you want to have a good time and can make the trail, do it.
If you have any questions, suggestions or just want to say hi, reach out and we will be happy to help any way we can.
See you on down the trail! Donna
