Hi, Jeeperz! It’s been a really busy summer for us, but we are ready to wheel! One of my personal favorites, Pyeatt Draw is just north of Payson, off of Houston Mesa Road. It’s an absolutely beautiful place with tall pines and cooler weather, lots of nice big rocks and boulders.
As Brian said in his FB post, we will be meeting at the 4 Peaks turn off between 7:00-7:30am (map below)
This trail can be easy or moderate depending on your line choice through the wash. Stock Jeeps can make it 90% of the way with little issues. If you care to join please post a comment so we know how many to expect at the meeting spot.
Make sure you have plenty of water, snacks and/or pack a lunch. The weather should be nice, around 80, much cooler than the valley. We don’t plan to camp, but if you are interested, the low should be around 57 at night, and there are a lot of nice areas for camping.
We are unsure what this summer’s flood has done to the area, so we will find out when we get there.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO COME SO WE KNOW TO EXPECT YOU!
This is a fun one, and lots of photo opportunities! See you on Saturday. (Donna)
